Copyright & Takedown Requests

Trust Onion publishes original reporting and analysis about AI voice-clone and impersonation scams. Our articles often summarize, briefly quote and link to reporting by other publishers, always with attribution. We respect the rights of publishers, journalists, photographers and other rights holders. If you believe something on trustonion.io uses your work in a way that infringes your rights, tell us and we will review it promptly.

What to include

To help us act quickly, please include:

  1. Your name, organization (if any), email address and a phone number or postal address.
  2. A description of the work you believe is being infringed (for example, the original article, photo or video), with a link to it if it is online.
  3. The full URL of each page on trustonion.io you are concerned about, and what on that page you believe infringes (a quote, image, chart or other material).
  4. Whether you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for them.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law, and that the information in your request is accurate.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine).

How quickly we respond

We acknowledge requests within two business days. We aim to finish our review within ten business days, and we act faster when a request is clear and complete. Depending on what we find, we may remove or replace the material, shorten a quotation, add or correct attribution, or explain why we believe the use is permitted. We will tell you what we decided. If we remove or change material, we may also let the author of the affected page know.

Please do not send personal information beyond what we ask for above. We use the information in your request only to handle it and keep a record of it, as described in our Privacy Policy.
